PoolWatch US shows real-time open/closed status for public swimming pools. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site, and we never sell your data.
Your saved pools ("★ My Pools") are stored only in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not linked to any account — clearing your browser data removes them.
Email alerts are not live yet. The "Set up alerts" form is a preview only — submitting it does not send or store anything on our servers, and it never opens your mail app. When alerts launch, we would use any address you give us solely to notify you about the pools you asked about, and you could ask us to delete it at any time.
The "Report a problem" button submits your report directly to us in the page (it never opens your mail app). We store the report kind, your optional note, a one-way hash of your IP address (used only to rate-limit spam), and a timestamp. Reports are signals we review — they never change a pool's status automatically. Report records are kept for up to 90 days.
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Our host (Cloudflare) records standard, aggregated request logs (such as IP address and user agent) to operate and protect the service.
Pool detail pages link out to official operator websites and Google Maps. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
